Lecture via Zoom.

Sam Droege, a wildlife biologist at the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, will talk about “Planting a pollinator garden for the birds and the bees.” Check the BBC website plus monthly Enews for updates and how to register. Early-on, Sam Droege was mentored by Chan Robbins, and coordinated the North American Breeding Bird Survey Program. He then developed the BioBlitz, the Cricket Crawl, and FrogwatchUSA programs. His glamour photos of native bee faces, taken with an electron microscope, are posted on-line at Flickr, www.flickr.com/search/?text=sam%20droege. His 2017 TED talk “Rewilding Your Land: Blessing of the Bees” shares the magical world of native bees. His most recent book is “ Bees: An Up-Close Look at Pollinators Around the World.”
