Description:
Late March/early April is the best time to pick out Black-headed Gulls and Little Gulls from the large flocks of Bonaparte’s Gulls on Back River. We’ll scope these flocks from the south end of Cox’s Point Park and hopefully find both species in the mix, and also explain how to separate them from the Bonaparte’s. In addition to the “hooded” gulls, we’ll also look for early swallows, migrating waterfowl, and whatever else is flying up and down the river.
