Virtual Meeting: Frederick Bird Club

Clare Nemes will speak on “FREE-ROAMING CATS: ECOLOGICAL IMPACTS OF THE WORLD’S MOST BELOVED INVASIVE SPECIES”

Clare is in the lab of Dr. Emily Cohen at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Appalachian Lab in Frostburg, MD. She is studying various aspects of bird biology and conservation, including songbird migration ecology and the effects of free-roaming domestic cats on birds. Clare is from Maryland originally but has worked various bird-focused jobs across the nation. Clare completed her master’s degree on habitat use of Cerulean Warblers at Ball State University in Indiana in 2016.
