Description:
Join the sibling duo, Tyme and Nara Anusonti-Inthra at the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center to find the elusive Sora Rail. This trip is for experienced paddlers who can paddle 2.5 miles. It will begin with a quick presentation about the relationship between Soras, wild rice, and cattail. Bring your own canoe/kayak. Registration is required and only 12 members are permitted due to a limited parking area. Prospects include Marsh Wrens, Virginia Rail, Northern Harrier, Wood Duck, Osprey, and more. Meet at the parking lot near the pavilion/playground research pier parking lot at 7:00 AM.
