Description:
Cromwell Valley Park offers a varied habitat with many possibilities especially during Spring migration, and is one of the best all-round places to see birds in Baltimore County. There are also a variety of interesting structures on the property, including an old lime kiln, with plenty of historical markers. We’ll start by walking a portion of the Minebank Trail (a favorite among local birders) looking for warblers and other migrants, and continue to the open meadows for swallows, flycatchers, raptors, and more. All trails we’ll walk are mowed grass, packed gravel, or paved, and generally flat so this walk is accessible to most participants. Beginner birders welcome!
