Description:
Emphasis on identifying waterfowl and other wintering species. A more leisurely trip, with a later meeting time, 8:00 at Schumaker Park lot or 8:45 at Heron Park (formerly Berlin Falls Park). We will take our time walking the trails at Heron Park. This is a great trip for beginning birders or those that want to brush up on their identification skills. For those interested, we will finish with lunch at a restaurant in Berlin, where we can review our trip list and discuss the birds we’ve seen. Sturdy shoes are recommended as we will be on a dirt/grass road in the park; bring snacks and drinks.
