Speaker: John White, Bird Photography for Beginners.
John is a Carroll County Bird Club member. As a child and teenager in the late 60s and 70s, John’s fascination with the natural world started in the woods behind his parent’s house. His focus was on snakes until he took an Ornithology class for his degree in Wildlife Biology from West Virginia University. From then on, every hike in the outdoors had him looking both up and down. Recently, John retired, resumed his photography hobby, and spends as much time as possible on local hiking trails, training his camera on birds and anything else that strikes his eye. He will discuss photography tips and tricks that bring birds up close and personal with his Nikon DSLR camera and various telephoto lenses.
