Description:
The view from the Turkey Point Peninsula during the southern migration of raptors and other birds is truly spectacular. The Northeast River on the northwest side, the Chesapeake Bay to the south and the Elk River to the east funnel the fall flocks to the peninsula. We should see a variety of species which might include some of the stickier ones such as Bay-breasted, blackpoll, and Cape May. It is prime viewing for birds and a prime view of the headwaters of the Bay.
