Andy Brown will speak on “The Natural History of Barn Owls”.
He will discuss the Natural History of Barn Owls, describe the historical conservation efforts in Maryland and outline some future conservation goals for Barn Owls identified through the Farmland Raptor Project.
Bio: Andy is a Maryland native and attended college at Frostburg State University. He has been a Naturalist with Calvert County Natural Resources Division since 1986. He has held a bird banding license since age 16 and has worked on many bird researches projects over the years. He began a Barn Owl nest box project in Calvert County in 1994 and is a Farmland Raptor Committee member for the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership.
